No luck whatsoever with metal ones.
Years ago I had a leather thimble that was perfect, but after years of use it wore out. They still make them, but the new ones aren't as good as they used to be... *sigh* (Why do I have a sudden urge to yell 'get off my lawn' and wave a cane?)gaylehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11629856023631651681noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3770034345182942845.post-28913947846314837562017-03-05T17:27:21.205-06:002017-03-05T17:27:21.205-06:00Good evening, Lori,

LOL

Today I will finish quilting a top that I bought at the vendor's mall at Quilt Nebraska in Lincoln years & years ago. It was meant to be hand quilted...and deserved to be, but that wasn't going to happen so I'm machine quilting it using the Baptist Fan pattern since it seemed the most age appropriate.

QuiltinLibraryLadyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16392850776832804028noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3770034345182942845.post-17752137284024339822017-03-04T14:31:15.513-06:002017-03-04T14:31:15.513-06:00Aqua can keep right on because it's so,pretty ...Aqua can keep right on because it's so,pretty and mixes well. I used my grandmother's silver one for years but it was really too small for my finger so one year at a quilt show I spent my show money on a TJ Lane silver open back thimble that I absolutely LOVE. My grandma's thimble now sits with her small silver embroidery scissors in one of the glass mason jars on my studio window sill.Quiltdivajuliehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15593385265961892847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3770034345182942845.post-80283784314202945252017-03-04T06:56:22.449-06:002017-03-04T06:56:22.449-06:00Hello Lori, it seems we had the same idea about sc...Hello Lori, it seems we had the same idea about scraps this week!
