Labor Day and Weekly Goals

Monday, September 7, 2015
Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country.

Congratulations American Workers!

This week I made two R/W/B album blocks--

Well, they are mostly blue but that's Ok!  Maybe by next week I will have checked my totals for blocks, they have just been stacking up in their totes.

Weekly Goals--

Two Orange Monkey Wrench/9 Patch blocks
Two R/W/B Monkey Wrench/9 Patch blocks

Another busy week.  Guild on Thursday and plan to babysit with the boys on Friday.  Whew!  How has your summer been?

Summer had some highs and lows. But I really like fall. And today I'm looking forward to spending the day at home, alone and with nothing on the agenda that I HAVE to do. It's a ME day of relaxation!

I'll tell you how my summer has gone....way to fast!! Now I just want to stop time and keep September & October until about next May & June. haha Today I have a bunch of tomatoes that HAVE to get done so it won't be an exactly labor-free day.....but it's a holiday off work & I get paid for it so it's not all bad.

My summer was spent on the road and in other people's houses. Yesterday was the first time I've actually sat in my own patio furniture since May, and now it's nearly time to put it away for the season. Sigh.
