But I was also forced to drink castor oil occasionally too. Can't say how much I hated it.

I don't get as many colds and flu as I did when I was teaching. I'm still in schools most days but not touching kids or handling their papers, etc so I probably avoid many of the germs.Sarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06412341664506380343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3770034345182942845.post-20517605019170429772013-01-21T13:25:39.684-06:002013-01-21T13:25:39.684-06:00I love plaids and I love 9-patches! Your quilt design would be great with them.
As to colds, i always use my own pen when writing checks or signing receipts, eat one or two tangerines or clementines each day (i understand vitamin c dissipates quickly when exposed to air) and wash my hands frequently & extend the duration of each hand-washing a bit.
Thanks for linking up with Judy! But I think saline nasal sprays helps when you have the cold and exercising regularly helps keep immune strong before getting it. Otherwise, I am not sure there is much anyone can do but ride it out. Nice choice of colors. We always dress for the weather, including scarfs. Almost all the school kids over here (Austria) wear hats and scarfs and dress for the weather. I am always shocked when I am in Canada and see the kids waiting for the school bus wearing t-shirts... in the snow! Also, the kids over here have more vacations - 2 weeks at Christmas, 1 week in Feb. for energy conservation, 2 weeks Easter and 1 week in May. The kids need a break so they don't get sick. More times than not, I think sweeping sicknesses start in the school aged kids and spread around. I can tell you - the kids in my sons class are hardly ever sick. Also - the window is always open part of the day, no matter how cold it is - the kids put their sweatshirts on if they are cold! Cheers! I almost never get sick and if I do - it lessens the severity of it. Can't convince my husband to try the spray - he's afraid he'll drown...
