More blue blocks--
I have lots of blue to use! Please see everyone's blue projects at SoScrappy.
Last weekend I sewed with the Iowa Sweat Shop Ladies. A few pics--
Donna was binding her beautiful Labyrinth quilt.
Kathleen was meticulously piecing and appliqueing new placemats.
Lorri2Rs was working on this Dragonfly quilt.
This beauty is an original design by Sharon's son, embroidered, pieced, and COLORED by Sharon, with help from her DIL Rhonda. Doesn't it remind you of a Spirograph? Do you remember them? The center design is embroidered and then colored with the wax ironed off.
I mitered the borders on this top. The blocks are from RSC 2015. Bias binding from the border stripe is made, now I have to find a backing.
Meet Aiobhael the Goth Fairy! Its a paper pieced design by Janeen Van Niekerk. Lorri2Rs made it for me out of satins, embellished with netting, crystals feathers silver cordings. The eyelets on the boot are hooks from hook and eye sets. She even has red fingernails. Don't you love the feather halo?? Lorri2Rs is a talented doll maker and enjoyed this challenge. Aiobhael is ME on Stashbusters. I always wanted green eyes!! Thank you Lorri!!
The weekend is going to be devoted to sewing. I'm watching the weather on the East coast and hoping no ones loses power. Yesterday we did errands, bought groceries and there is no reason to leave the house. The weather is clear and cold but nothing extreme.
How is your weather? Are in the path of Jonas? Will you spend time sewing?

Your blue blocks are looking good! Thank you for the show and tell...lots of eye candy.
Your blue blocks are beautiful! And I love how your churndash/9patches came out.
As a matter of fact, there's all kinds of wonderful on display here. 8) Aiobhael the Goth Fairy is pretty darn spectacular!
I love all the beautiful projects on this page. Lots of good ideas now swirling around my head.
SO many pretty projects this week. Love the green eyes. So you!
No Jonas for us, just a long, slow storm of sick people!
Some wonderful eye candy in Iowa. Talented quilter's everywhere! And your angel is just adorable.
My weekend will be devoted to college basketball with very little quilting. Headed to the Jackrabbit women's game this afternoon and then stopping in Sioux Falls for some grandkid hugs on our way home. Dakota Wesleyan basketball tomorrow. Guess I need to wish for a snow day here to keep me home from work next week. Or not . . .
Congrats! on your 2 scrappy blocks for the RSC and your newly finished flimsy. More flakes flying today, but Jonas seems to be going easy on us. Thank goodness!!
What a talented group you have, inspiring each other and all of us. The fairie seems very modern and confident.
Hey, Aiobhel...wish that sweat shop was on my side of Iowa!
Just as glad that we're not in the path of Jonas. I've been reading that a few hundred Nebraska Catholic school high school students & sponsors are stranded on the PA Turnpike in the snow on their way home from the DC March for Life. A memorable trip for sure. Some are from Elgin Pope John and others are from O'Neill St. Mary's as well as from Norfolk Catholic.
Worked a usual today...just noticed we have a pretty sunset so had to jump up to snap a couple pictures. I'll probably sew tomorrow. Decided to use some blocks already made for a quilt for 2 yr. old Hayden's big bed and have bright fabrics, some with animals on them, for 2 yr. old Holden. The boy is crazy about animals.
Those are some pretty quilts made by you and the Iowa ladies.
Gorgeous quilts and some very talented quilters in your sewing circle. Love the Goth Fairy! Stay warm and dry. It's 50 F here, but the winds make it feel like 31 F. So the sewing room is going to be my favorite place today.
Love the scrappy blue blocks -- talented group you're hanging out with.
You have some great blue blocks! I love anything with stars!!!
Thanks for all the extra eye candy! Very talented ladies!
