Winter Storm

Sunday, February 20, 2011
4:55 AM  Its raining half frozen sleet balls the size of BB's.  Sounds like gravel hitting our house.   Rolling thunder.  I'm tired of winter, heading to bed and pulling the covers over my head.   We may get 12" or more of snow after the ice.   Stocked all the essentials.  Milk.  Bread.  Coffee.  TOILET PAPER!

Sleet on our deck--4:55AM

I'd go back to bed too! We're supposed to have snow today but so far it's nice and sunny. Probably later and I heard it's supposed to be a lot. Crap!

I'd rather be there where I know Spring is still weeks away. Spring will be here in a couple of weeks and then I am stuck inside (quilting) until November!

At least you are well stocked!

Have fun sewing and reading while you are stuck indoors. I'll go outside to see if there is another sprig of green to take a picture for you...liz

Oh the thrill of "Thundersleet". Now that you've laid in supplies and taken all steps to ensure heat and coffee you and hubby can sit back and enjoy the show. Hope nothing truly serious happens with this ice storm - you never know how things will turn out. :-D Still covered in the white stuff over here in MN and watching snow swirls in the air this morning. I'd rather be quilting!

What's your final tally?!

We are getting the sleet now with snow to follow later! I'm thinking about going back to bed myself!

It has snowed all night here, a fine snow with not much accumulation (3 inches), but it is still snowing. I suppose by the end of the day, it could amount to something.

It's still in the 60s here, but the low tonight is 24!
