Design Wall Monday and Weekly Goals

Monday, January 14, 2013
Yesterday this was on the Princess--

Aren't those colors just luscious??  It brings to mind blue water and lush trees.  This is one of Henrietta's--its done and ready for binding.  Check out everyone's Design Walls at Patchwork Times

Over the weekend was an impromptu quilting/sewing retreat with one of my on-line groups.  Henrietta was kept busy sewing binding and searching for backings--3 tops were quilted and I have another one loaded and ready for inspiration.  THAT might take a bit!!

Weekly Goals--
  1. One yo-yo block
  2. quilt one top and make binding
  3. Load another UFO (hey--at this point they are ALL UFOs)
  4. Applique 5 leaves
Henrietta and I are heading out in the cold today--a bit of shopping, groceries etc.  Its frigid cold but at least the wind has quit blowing.

Have you stayed inside?  Did you do any sewing?  If you're where its warm and sunny--NO PICTURES OF YOUR TAN!!!

Henrietta's quilt is really beautiful - very tropical water colors. Love it.

Stay warm today out there. 2 degrees when I went to work this morning. But at least most of the ice is gone.

Henrietta's quilt is beautiful. I need to follow your example and get some UFO's on the frame and quilted.

Stay warm and don't send anymore cold our way!! LOL

Henrietta's quilt is beautiful and reminds me of warmer days. It's hard not to have winter on the mind, when it is -15F at night and only gets to 7F during the daylight hours; plus, 10 inches of snow on the ground. I want to just stay inside and hibernate. I've been knitting, reading, and generally being lazy.

I have an appointment today, so I'll be out and about, too. Stay safe and warm on your adventure with Henrietta.

Hehe, If I had a tan in January it would be because I was extremely liberal with the Jurgen's Natural Glow! I love the colors of that quilt and I love that you're being so productive. Maybe in the overall scheme of things it makes up a little for the fact I've not been productive at all. :)

Hurrah! Great work quilting so many tops!

I see my favorite colors peeping out of that quilt - lovely choices, Henrietta.

It is cool but not cold here, which is a blessing as baby and I had to make the routine trip to the doctor's office today. Now we are sleeping lots!
