Working on Wednesday

Thursday, December 24, 2009
I'm down to the last minute baking. We are waiting for the blizzard to hit here, the weatherman says by Saturday we should have 23" of snow. Right now there is about 4" of snow on the deck and the wind hasn't come up--yet! I am prepared, I went to the store and bought essentials--bread, milk, eggs, and toilet paper! Last night I worked on making Mason some crib sheets. I had forgotten how to make something that wasn't FLAT!

The polka dot sheet is fleece, the other ones are flannel. I haven't made any in so long I had almost forgotten how!

You keep that snow down there, Lori, he he he. We're supposed to get some, but I don't think the weathermen REALLY know how much. We'll just hide and watch.

You can have the snow! Although I'd rather have snow than freezing rain which is what we may get tonight and tomorrow, followed by snow.

Those sheets look very snug. Stay warm!

Merry Christmas!

Stay safe and warm! We stocked up on groceries yesterday too -- I don't want to have to go out for days. And the sheets are darling! Have a great Christmas Eve day.

We're still waiting for more snow too. The wind has picked up pretty good. A few minutes ago the sun was shining. Crazy. LOL Our family Christmas is postponed to Sunday. Maybe it won't be as bad as hyped but I don't want them on the roads. The turkey & gifts will wait. So, we're having roast chicken for Christmas dinner tomorrow. I'll fix some potatoes & gravy, a little dressing & I'll make a pie. Mmmmmm, makes me hungry thinking about it.

Lincoln weater report ... yesterday it rain most of the day. About 2 inches of new snow over night. Winds are picking up here, snowing now, temp is 17 but -1 with wind. City streets are passable if you are on snow routes, side street--ugh! Love the sheets!! Mason will be nice & warm now!! Happy Holidays

OMG! 23" of snow. I wouldn't like that at all. Unless it melts overnight. And it sounds so cold. The sheets you made Mason are so cozy. I'm sure he'll have a good night's sleep on them. You are such a good grandma. Have a Merry Christmas and stay warm.
