Motivation Friday and Blue Rainbow Scrap Saturday

Saturday, July 7, 2012
I played with my blue noodles and made a 36 patch block, a couple of Spool blocks, and a few 4 patches.  All to go in my basket until the end of the year.

Rainbow Scrap Challenge 2012

This week I tried to stay cool.  100+F every day this week.  Today is much cooler--82F.  Tonight I will sit outside my camper, drink a cold beverage, and read.

How did you spend your week?  Summer activities?  Sewing?

Since it has been in the mid 80s here, I've actually been sewing the last two days. I managed to finish two quilts that have been in a holding pattern since early May. I hope this respite from the extreme temperatures stays a bit longer so I can get some more done.

I love your blocks!

It was so wonderful to wake up to cooler weather this morning. Shut off the AC & fan and opened all the windows to let the fresh air blow through. Otherwise my week was pretty much like yours...trying stay cool. Sewed a little. Read a little. Played on the computer a little. Cooked on the grill & toaster oven in the garage. Still wishing for rain.

Lori, your blues are very cool looking. I've spent my week quilting and preparing for an Open House I'm having tomorrow, spent this evening hanging quilts.

Hi. Sounds like you are on vacation.
I dropped in from the rainbow challenge. Love your blue blocks! Beautiful cooling blue. My box of blocks is looking colorful, too. Won't it be fun watching our colorful quilts come together in December.

Your blue blocks are looking great. Im a little bit envious of your warm weather. I just wish it would stop raining in England!
