Sunday Stash Report

Quiet week here, I bought no fabric, and I haven't finished anything. But I did sew a little, a UFO has the blocks put together and is waiting for "border inspiration". And played with another UFO, but didn't feel like working on it, so it went back in the baggie. Last night I did sew two more rounds on my Christmas courthouse steps and pressed them, today if I feel like it I will trim them. Haven't loaded a quilt either. I'm not shaking this cold, and spend a lot of my time sleeping. Hopefully tomorrow will be the turning point.

Oh, I'm way too innocent -- I never thought of what might be mixed in with the OJ!!! Too funny. Hope you're feeling better soon!

Lori -

Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting! Sometimes I do wonder whether people (besides my immediate family) are reading my blog. I hope you're able to shake the cold you have. Thankfully I've been able to avoid most of the colds that have been going around this area. I've found the best medicine is... MORE QUILTING! ;-)

Sorry you're not feeling well. Colds can be the pits. Mix in a little something with the OJ. It may not do a thing but you might THINK it does. My Mom always swore by hot toddies to drive the illness out. I believe in vitamins & garlic pills. So far it's worked this fall & winter. Hope it keeps on working.

Your cold has really been a hanger-on. Eat chicken soup and feel better!

Sorry you don't seem to be losing that cold! I wouldn't feel like doing much but sleeping, either, and with as busy a month as you had in Dec., your body probably just needs the rest more than anything else.

Just for giggles, one of my patients had just a bit low blood sugar an hour and a half before breakfast, so I offered to bring him some juice with his morning med. He, being a great joker, asked for orange juice--and vodka. I was amiable enough and brought him the screwdriver--without the screw. Upon which he asked me, "You know what they call that drink with a splash of milk of magnesia in it, don't you?"

I'm such a dummy--I fell for it. "No, what?"

"A Philips head screwdriver."

GROAN.

Now if that doesn't make you smile the least little bit, you should go back to bed awhile. You need more rest, for sure.
